This French coffee press makes a wonderful cup of coffee. The double stainless steel screen system makes sure that your coffee has no coffee grounds in it and all you get is the rich and robust flavor of perfectly brewed coffee. The pot is nicely designed and beautiful and it is made of double wall insulated stainless steel. The unit comes with an extra set of stainless steel screens as a bonus for a limited time.

    Key steps:
    1. Use one rounded tablespoon of coffee for each 4 ounce cup of coffee. That is about 8 tablespoons for the 32 ounce pot. You can adjust it to suit your taste and that means 6, 7 or 8 tablespoons.
    2. It is recommended to use course ground coffee but we had no issues using our normal grind of coffee.
    3. Pour in hot water but not boiling as boiling water makes the coffee bitter.
    4. Gently stir the pot and make sure that you stir all the way the bottom of the pot to get all of the ground coffee into the solution.
    5. Let the coffee brew for 3 minutes before you press it.
    6. Insert the press and slowly and gently press down to strain the grounds out of the brewing coffee. Remember that the press will not go all of the way down as you have the grounds in the bottom of the pot.
    7. Whatever coffee you cannot drink in ten minutes pour into a thermos as it will continue to brew in the coffee press and it may get too strong.
    8. Enjoy the rich and robust taste of a smooth cup of coffee.

My video shows how we made the coffee so please take the time to watch it. We made some coffee for our friends and they loved it so much that they asked us to bring it over and have dinner with them and I got to make the coffee again. They raved about how good the coffee tasted and how it reminded everyone of the coffee that they had while on vacation in Europe. This coffee press makes a nice conversation piece to use when you are entertaining your guests for dinner.

This SterlingPro coffee press makes a great gift for the coffee lover who is a friend or a family member. It makes smooth, rich and robust tasting coffee without the bitterness of other brewing technics. Just make sure that you use very hot but not boiling water and you will get the best results. I rated this as a 5 star product.

I received a sample product for evaluation and I promised to provide a fair and honest review.

A glass wall press may look nicer for company but this press is much more practical for everyday use. It has all the benefits of a glass wall press with more benefits besides.

    – It doesn’t break as easily.

    – It keeps the water at a more consistent temperature while my coffee is brewing. In four minutes a glass wall press allowed water temperature to drop 18.2 degrees, from 199.6 to 181.4 or about 10%. This press allowed the water to drop 9.4 degrees, from 199.6 to 190.2 or about 5%. That’s half a much which could be thought of as twice as good… Anybody want to see a graph?

    – The coffee seems to come out tasting a bit richer than when I use a glass carafe. Maybe it’s because the water remains at a steady (and higher) temperature?

SterlingPro sent me this press to try with no obligation other than to provide an honest review.

I was really interested in a stainless press after having broken a Bodum Brazil by tapping the glass a little too hard with a spoon for the coffee grounds. I purchased an 8 cup SterlingPro glass press and was happy with it so I also got this one. The press feels really substantial and the filter fits really tightly to the walls and hasn’t let any grounds through yet. The plunger is also flat and wide so its comfortable to push down.

It is a little harder to gauge how much water is in but i got used to it pretty quickly. The only negative I read about stainless presses is that they can bring the temperature of hot water down below ideal temperatures if you brew first thing in the morning. I followed a tip that said to just run some hot water through it before actually brewing coffee and that worked perfectly. The finished coffee was noticeably warmer than usual as the doublewall construction helps to keep the heat in better than naked glass.

I’m completely sold. My coffee tastes great and I don’t have to worry about breaking anything.
